Racing at Emerald Downs
Emerald Downs is a thoroughbred racetrack in Auburn, Washington, about 25 miles south of Seattle, and it is the largest thoroughbred track in the Pacific Northwest. It is where Claim To Fame Racing horses are stabled, trained, and run.
Stabled on the backside
Emerald Downs runs a live meet through the spring and summer. Our horses live on the backside for the duration, which is the practical reason our owners get the access they do. A horse stabled at the track is a horse you can go and see on a Tuesday afternoon.
Mike Puhich trains our string there. He handles conditioning, race entries, and recovery, and he is the person owners talk to when they want to know how a horse is actually doing.
What owners do at the track
Barn visits
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 1:00 PM. Thirty minutes per group with the horses.
Time with the trainer
A thirty minute Q&A alongside the barn visit. Ask anything.
Post-race visits
On race weekends, see the horses after they have run.
Box seats
Request seats for individual race days through the investor portal.
Race day
Winner's circle celebrations, barn visits, and real access to the horses and the people who work with them every day.
