Claim To Fame Racing LLC is a thoroughbred racing company based in Seattle, Washington. Our horses are trained by Mike Puhich and campaign at Emerald Downs in Auburn, Washington. We exist to put people close to the horses, not just on a cap table.
Kevin Sengara
Founder & Managing Partner
A third-generation horseman, Kevin blends old-school horsemanship with modern syndicate strategy, carrying forward a multi-generational, graded stakes-winning family legacy.
He holds an MBA from Georgetown University, which gives him a rare combination of business discipline and hands-on racing experience.
He also serves as a Director at Wild Hearts Thoroughbred Aftercare Society, a registered charity dedicated to the rehabilitation and rehoming of retiring racehorses.
Mike Puhich, Trainer
Our horses are trained by Mike Puhich, a longtime Pacific Northwest trainer with deep experience developing thoroughbreds at Emerald Downs. Mike works directly with the Claim To Fame Racing team on horse selection, conditioning, race entries, and recovery, and he is the person owners sit down with on barn visits.
What we do
We build the string
Horse selection, purchase and leasing, and the day-to-day calls that decide whether a horse gets a chance.
We run the operation
Training, race entries, veterinary care, and recovery, handled by our team and our trainer.
We open the barn
Owners visit the horses on weekday afternoons at Emerald Downs and sit with the trainer afterwards.
We keep people informed
A private portal with horse updates, a race calendar, photo and video archives, and direct email from the team.
